GROOMING
Golden Retrievers are distinguished by their functional double coat which serves a practical purpose. This coat features two distinct layers: a dense, woolly undercoat that insulates and helps regulate body temperature in all weather conditions, and a firm, resilient outer coat that lies close to the body. The outer coat may be straight or wavy, and it is water-repellent, offering protection from the elements.
Golden Retrievers should be brushed daily, especially when they are shedding, to prevent their undercoat from developing mats.
