BECOME A MEMBER
If you love Golden Retrievers, you are in the right place! Austin Golden Retriever Club’s membership is made of people that are dedicated to preservation and protection of healthy, versatile Golden Retrievers through responsible breeding, education, and showing our wonderful dogs.
Our club members range from members that have been involved in the breed for decades to owners new to the dog fancy and new to dogs in general. Members are involved in a wide variety of activities with their Goldens such as: conformation, scent work, obedience and rally, agility, hunt tests and field trials, as well as therapy dog work.
AGRC members are a wealth of knowledge with invaluable breed experience and a willingness to share advice and experiences with all things Golden!
Types of Membership
Full Members:
Anyone 18 or older. Full members shall have the privileges and rights to:

attend and participate at AGRC meetings and activities

hold office
-
serve on the Board
-
serve on a committee
-
vote
-
receive and participate in Club programs, banquets and awards and all other AGRC activities
Associate Members:
Anyone who was a full member, but who has not met the criteria for Full Membership in the previous membership year. Associate membership shall have all rights and privileges of a full membership except for the rights to hold office, serve on the Board or a committee, and vote. An associate member may participate in Club awards and banquets at the associate member’s expense. An associate membership shall automatically convert to a full membership the next membership year following the associate member’s satisfaction of the criteria.
Junior Members:
Anyone under the age of 18 and over the age of 10. Junior membership shall have all rights and privileges of a full membership except for the rights to hold office, serve on the Board or vote. A junior membership shall automatically convert, as long as they are in good standing and the Criteria is then met, to a full member upon the junior member’s eighteenth (18th) birthday, which conversion shall continue for the remainder of that membership year.
Life Members:
Full members in good standing, recommended and approved by an unanimous vote of the entire Board, who are honored for their service to the Club and have been an active member of the Club for at least 20 years. Life Members shall have all rights and privileges of a full member. A Life member shall not be obligated to pay Club dues. A life membership shall be perpetual so long as the life membership is not terminated by resignation or other termination criteria.
